Victoria Talbot attended the 2025 IST Technical conference on September 18th 2025 at Birmingham University on behalf of the UBMA – seen pictured below with Helen Sharman, IST president.
The UBMA stand attracted considerable attention with the new branding and UBMA “goodies” on offer! 15 new members, including three from new member institutes signed up on the day!
The IST conference is a large, diverse, single day conference for the technical community; this year the theme was: Innovating and Evolving in a Changing Landscape. UBMA members Allison Hunter, Arthur Nicholas and James Fox were also in attendance giving a workshop or as part of the organising committee, respectively.
