Congratulations on deciding to become a member of the UBMA, the leading professional body for university and research institute bioscience managers.
There are three categories of membership:
Full membership of UBMA is open to staff with active resource management responsibilities in university and research institute biological, biomedical and life science, or other similar related departments, schools and faculties such as agricultural or environmental facilities. Individuals with full membership are entitled to vote in UBMA elections.
Associate membership is available to those staff who either no longer actively work in bioscience resource management the sector but have an ongoing interest, e.g. members who retire/move to a role in a different sector, or those whose activities and interests align with UBMA’s aims. Individuals with associate membership do not have voting rights and may not sit on the Committee.
Life membership is granted to the President and Vice-President and, if agreed by a majority vote of the members, on individuals who have given exceptional service to the UBMA. They have no voting rights and may not sit on the Committee but may be asked to contribute specialist advice or guidance.
We are a friendly and inclusive association with no current membership fee.
